Summary: The Information Technology Support Specialist/ Sr. provides technical support to staff on applications and equipment. This position also provides assistance and support to the VP – Information Technology and Security in their responsibilities, which include maintaining network and data security.

Position Responsibilities: 
Technical Support
  • Provides customer service and technical support to staff on supported applications, software, active directory, printing, PC’s and network equipment
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems with 3rd party vendors
  • Configures and troubleshoots phone system  
  • Completes general and preventative hardware and software maintenance
  • Performs patch installations  
  • Maintains log of individual computers, printers, etc., that contains IP addresses and authorized software programs
Mobile Devices 
  • Provisions Association mobile devices
  • Provides customer service and technical troubleshooting support for mobile devices
IT Projects 
  • Identifies project scope potential issues and prepares project plan
  • Implements technology components of the project
  • Coordinates with others to ensure project meets business requirements
  • Assists with internal and external IT Audits and related Association audits
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Associate’s degree in computer related field
  • 5 years of experience in PC support, troubleshooting and desktop support
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Advanced certification or additional technical training in a qualified program preferred
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Working knowledge in Windows Operating Systems and peripheral hardware
  • Skill in analyzing hardware and software problems and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
  • Skill in providing desktop support to end users
  • Skill in troubleshooting problems
  • Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
